London

Historically London’s speciality coffee scene has been well covered by the likes of the London Best Coffee App (now just Best Coffee) and various bloggers, although those have come and gone, with only really Bex of Double Skinny Macchiato lasting the distance. For those who like things paper-based, there’s also the London Coffee Guide.

To complement these, I offer my own modest contribution: the Coffee Spot Guide to London. As with all my guides, this is not meant to be definitive. I could spend every day of the week in London finding new Coffee Spots and I still probably wouldn’t keep up, so if your favourite coffee shop is missing, it’s probably just because I haven’t had time to visit. My coverage is also rather patchy, with an emphasis on central London.

However, rather than dump all 200+ Coffee Spots on you in one guide, I’ve divided London up into more manageable regions, going with the postcode as the determining factor. I’ve split London into Inner and Greater London, with Inner London further divided into eight areas, with postcodes starting E, EC, N, NW, SE, SW, W and WC.

Inner London

Greater London

Greater London includes all 32 London Boroughs and the City of London. As such it also includes those areas I’ve separated out as Inner London, so for Coffee Spot purposes, Greater London is anywhere in the 32 London Boroughs that isn’t included in Inner London (as defined above). Within Greater London, I grouped Coffee Spots by individual towns rather than by boroughs.
